Zirconium Dental Veneer Treatment

Dental veneer treatment is frequently used in tissue loss and root canal treatments due to tooth decay or trauma over time. One of these applications, performed with various techniques and materials, is zirconium dental veneer treatment. If there is a diseased structure on the tooth that needs to be cleaned or if there is a fracture due to trauma, the zirconium coating treatment applied to compensate for these tissue losses is one of the most ideal applications. It provides a much more aesthetic and natural appearance compared to metal-based coatings, as it is not a metal-supported coating type. In this respect, it is considered within the scope of smile aesthetic treatments.

How is Zirconium Applied?
In line with the examinations we have made in our clinic, we first evaluate the necessity of zirconium coating treatment. If we are of the opinion that the zirconium crown treatment is appropriate for our patient, we will numb the tooth area to be treated; Then we apply the shaping process, which is the preparation stage on the teeth. In this way, the teeth are ready for impression taking. We prepare veneer teeth with a restoration process that has aesthetic dimensions to fit the tooth and is compatible with the surrounding tissues. When the zirconium crown teeth are ready to be bonded, we complete the treatment by performing the bonding process.

What is Zirconium Dental Technology?
Zirconium dental veneer treatment is developing in two directions: one of these developments is the developments in impression taking techniques; the other is the developments that occur during the production phase of the zirconium coating. In both processes, digital opportunities are now heavily utilized. Thanks to the tooth image obtained by computer-aided scans, the teeth produced with digital tools are in harmony with the measurements, just as the fingerprints of the individuals belong only to them. The digital support of these stages eliminates the risk of errors in manual applications and ensures that the treatment processes are finalized in a shorter time. In this respect, digital-assisted zirconium dental veneer treatments produce perfect results.

How long does it take?
After the detection and elimination of the problems in the tooth, the teeth are subjected to the shaping process. According to the measurements taken afterwards, the construction phase of the zirconium crown teeth begins and this process takes up to 1 week. The teeth that are ready at the end of a week are adhered to the teeth in 10-15 minutes. After the treatment, our patients can return to their daily lives on the same day.

Can It Be Done To A Single Tooth?
In the presence of a single tooth with decay or fracture on its surface, it is possible to apply zirconium veneer treatment in a way that provides aesthetic and structural integrity with other teeth. Thanks to this application, we apply zirconium coating to a single tooth without any aesthetic difference.

Can it be done if our teeth are broken or rotten?
The depth of the existing caries or fracture in the area where the zirconium dental veneer will be treated is the determining factor in the application of this technique. In some cases, we may prefer different alternative solutions. However, if there is a caries or fracture that causes tissue loss that will weaken the tooth, zirconium tooth coating treatment has become essential.

Does It Look Natural?
Thanks to the material it contains, zirconium crown teeth are extremely successful in obtaining a natural tooth appearance. It exhibits an image indistinguishable from natural teeth, especially thanks to its light transmittance and transparency towards the tooth tips. In addition, since zirconium tooth coating is not a metal-based coating method, aesthetic problems such as graying and dark color reflection on the gums do not occur over time.

What are the Differences Between Lamina and Zirconium?
There are many differences between these two dental veneer methods, but the most obvious one is; Before the zirconium crown can be applied, a cutting process must be done on the teeth. If there are situations that require restoration in the tooth, it will be a healthier and appropriate approach to apply zirconium coating treatment to the area. However, no action is taken regarding the size of the teeth in lamina tooth veneers.

Why is Lamina not Preferred Instead of Zirconium?
If there is a loss of tissue in the case of decay or fracture in the zirconium tooth coating; if there is a defect in the alignment of the tooth; If a root canal treatment has been applied to the tooth, it becomes a necessity. All these problems necessitate zirconium coating because of the health problems that need to be eliminated. However, laminate coatings are applied purely for aesthetic purposes. In other words, if there is an unhealthy tissue in the tooth, this causes the tooth to be cut; but lamina coating is not a treatment method applied in this direction. Lamina veneers are preferred purely for cosmetic purposes.
